This episode still in post production, highlights the impact of the war in Ukraine on the Polish churches. It explores the question, what do you do when the mission field shows up on your doorstep?
Through the lens of Biblical Christian missions, this series explores the intersection of faith, food, and culture, revealing how God’s presence is manifested in diverse communities. Each episode dives into the rich traditions and culinary practices of different cultures, showing how faith is lived out in everyday life. By experiencing these true stories, viewers are invited to reflect on their own beliefs and discover a deeper connection to God’s purpose for humanity.
Filmmaker Shane McMullin created the GO: series to highlight God's work around the world and to answer the questions of who God is, what He does, and why we are here.
It's an effective and useful way to help someone understand modern missions. The study simplifies and highlights the understanding needed for the field. By focusing on real-world examples, it makes the concepts of adaptability and cultural sensitivity easy to understand.
The hope for this episodic series is that it will spark a missional mindset and renew a missions passion. We desire people, communities and churches to come together and see how much of a benefit and help the Gospel can be to culture, while giving them a love for image-bearers in other cultures.
The show host utilizes the exploration of culture, cuisine and connection with some light-hearted Texan comedy. The series feels similar to Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown.
The goal for the viewer is to have an understanding of what God is doing in a particular people group on this planet, how God can use people in their own culture and how the viewer can be used in their own community to impact those around them.
Sincerely,
The GO: Team
